a commission for giphy! Statement: This commission came at a time when New York City was just beginning to distribute vaccines, and when winter was just beginning to melt into spring. People started coming outside of their homes, donning their most seasonally appropriate floral outfits, enjoying the cherry blossoms and sunny weather. I thought it was wonderful how this citywide rebirth coincided with nature itself coming back to life. But of course, New York City is inhabited by many strange and colorful people, so I wanted to illustrate some of the odd characters I spotted on my socially distant walks through Central Park.
